Dr. Gandhi is a Principal at Northpond Ventures and leads its Boston office, where he invests in life sciences companies and collaborates to build new ventures. Previously, he was a Principal at the Longwood Fund, an early-stage life sciences venture capital firm, as well as co-founder and President of Pyxis Oncology, a cancer biotechnology company focused on modulating the immune response to cancer within the context of the tumor microenvironment. Prior to Longwood and Pyxis, he was an attending hospitalist at the Massachusetts General Hospital and an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He holds an M.D. from Harvard Medical School, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, a D.Phil. in medical oncology from the University of Oxford where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and a B.S. with honors in biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University. He is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Suffolk District Medical Society, the professional medical society of Boston, and is a past trustee of the Massachusetts Medical Society and Boston Medical Library.
